Delphi Murder Update

Posted on Monday, October 2, 2017
Over the past few months you have probably heard of the Delphi, Indiana Murder. Where 13 year old Abigail Wiliams and 14 year old Liberty German were found along a hiking trail near Delphi, Indiana. So far, it's been an unsolved murder - asking for the public's help in identifying an unknown male that they have a composite sketch on, as well as a recording that one of the girls recorded with her cellphone. A voice and a sketch. That's all we have had to go on the last few months.

Last Monday, police arrested a man in Colorado who was threatening peple with a hatchet. A sex offender from Indianapolis, Indiana. Could this be the guy? We sure hope so! We are wanting justice for Abby Williams and Libby German!

The Registered Sex Offender from Indiana is Daniel Nations. Nations was in Indiana up until about July he went off the radar. The girls were found murdered on Valentines Day 2017. Apparently Nations left behind somewhat of a sketchy timeline:
July 2015 - Daniel Nations is arrested for being a "peeping Tom" - he missed his court date and was incarcerated from December 2015 to late January 2016.
2016 - Arrested for driving with a suspended license. Arrested again for possession of marijuana. And was evicted from his Wayne Township home.
2017 January - Registers as a homeless sex offender, which requires him to check in every 7 days to register. Checks in as required until he is pulled over in Greenwood, IN for driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana. Placed in jail and released apparently because on July 18th 2017 investigators start looking into his whereabouts since he failed to register at his new address. He's been off the grid for two months at this point. A warrant is issued.
September 25, 2017 Nations is arrested in Woodland Park, CO in a red car with expired Indiana tags. He matched the description of a person threatening hikers with a hatchet. Police found a hatchet and a .22 caliber rifle in the car. A few days later Indiana state police were contacted by a sheriffs department in Colorado about similarities in their case and the Delphi murders. Indiana State Police officially declared Nations a "person of interest" in the case.
